Bill has been providing tax advice to businesses and their owners for over 20 years. His practice focuses on the tax consulting and compliance needs of both private equity and real estate sponsors for their investment funds and assets those funds have invested in. Bill has worked with family offices, independent sponsors and search funds through all stages of the investment cycle, from due diligence on the initial investment, to compliance for investors after acquisition and planning for the eventual exit of the investment.
Bill also has significant experience working with emerging companies, family owned businesses, and established middle market companies in manufacturing & distribution, franchising, and retail. Prior to joining Martin DeCruze, Bill worked at two “Big 4” firms and was most recently a partner at a regional firm.
In addition to receiving his degree in accounting at Providence College, Bill has participated in several management development programs to enhance his skills as a leader of his staff and in his community. Bill has participated in the Business Council of Fairfield County Leadership Program, Citrin Cooperman Leadership Development Program, Moore Stephens Executive Leadership Program and Alumni Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Bill received the Fairfield County Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2012 in recognition of his contributions to the community and the workplace.
Bill is currently serving as Treasurer of Shore & Country Club and Finance Chair of the tri-state chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange, he previously served as Finance Chair for All Saints Catholic School.
